As President of Geneva College of Longevity Science (GCLS) and Professor of Pharmacy, Dominik Thor holds a pivotal role as chief executive officer, responsible for providing leadership and overall administration of the institution. Tasked with the direction of GCLS, the President collaborates closely with the Board of Trustees to shape and implement policies that align with the college's mission and goals. Leading a diverse team of academic and administrative professionals, the President oversees the seamless functioning of all college departments, ensuring academic excellence, financial sustainability, and a vibrant community. Additionally, the President plays a crucial role in fostering relationships with external stakeholders, including research and industry partners, government agencies, and the broader academic community, to advance GCLS's prominence in the field of longevity science education.

At the Geneva College of Longevity Science, the board of trustees plays a crucial role in steering the institution towards its mission of advancing longevity science education. Comprising distinguished members from various sectors, including academia, industry, and healthcare, the board ensures that the college’s goals align with both academic excellence and the emerging needs of the field of longevity science. The trustees are also tasked with the oversight of the institution, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and responsibly to foster innovation and learning. Additionally, they uphold the college’s academic standards and integrity, approving academic programs and policies based on rigorous evaluation and adherence to educational best practices. The decisions of the board are are informed by a commitment to enhancing the quality and impact of the Geneva College of Longevity Science’s contributions to the field of longevity science.

Governance at GCLS

The Geneva College of Longevity Science (GCLS) is governed according to principles of academic integrity, transparency, and strategic oversight. As a Swiss institution of higher education, GCLS adheres to international best practices in governance and quality assurance, ensuring that its mission to lead in the field of longevity science is carried out responsibly and sustainably.


GCLS is headed by the President, who serves as Chief Executive Officer and provides overall academic and institutional leadership. The President is responsible for strategic development, academic quality, international cooperation, and regulatory compliance.

The Board of Trustees functions as the supervisory and strategic body of the College. Composed of experts from academia, healthcare, and industry, the Board's core responsibilities include safeguarding the institution’s mission, promoting long-term innovation, and ensuring that financial and human resources are used effectively. The Board also supports the College’s efforts to maintain high academic standards and oversees the development of new programs and initiatives.

Academic and administrative functions are supported by a network of senior officers and committees, including the Programme and Admissions Committee and the Quality Assurance Committee, which collectively ensure adherence to GCLS's educational philosophy, student support systems, and continuous improvement processes.

The governance structure of GCLS is defined by the institutional Statute, Code of Conduct, and other core regulatory documents, and is aligned with the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG).
