How do I apply for the EMSc Longevity programme? 

Applications to the Executive Master of Science in Longevity programme at GCLS are submitted using an online application form, which can be found under "APPLY NOW" in the webpage topbar.
Before submitting your application, please familiarise yourself with the Admission Criteria and Application Process on the EMSc Programme website, as this contains essential information about courses offered, entrance requirements, mandatory documents and admissions deadlines.

Where can I find the online application form to start my application?

The digital application form can be accessed on the GCLS Graduate Admissions website. New applicants kindly use the 'APPLY NOW' button to start their application. Should you encounter any challenges, we recommend reaching out to Graduate Admissions for assistance instead of initiating the creation of a new account.

When can I apply for the EMSc programme starting in the academic year 2024?

The new admissions cycle for GCLS' Executive Master of Science in Longevity program for 2024 entry is already open.

What are GCLS's English language requirements?

To ensure that all students can successfully engage with the curriculum, participate in discussions, and complete assignments, adequate English language skills are required for admission to the Executive Master of Science in Longevity (EMSc Longevity) at the Geneva College of Longevity Science (GCLS). Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency through one of the following standardized tests:

  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): A minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based test (iBT), with no subscore below 20.
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): A minimum overall band score of 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
  • Cambridge English Qualifications: A minimum of C1 Advanced (CAE) with a score of 180 or above.PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English): A minimum score of 58.


Applicants may also meet this requirement if they have completed a degree program in English or have substantial professional experience in an English-speaking environment. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis following a review of an applicant’s overall qualifications.

What happens to my graduate application once it has been submitted?

Upon the submission of your application, a confirmation email will be sent to you. It is imperative that you verify the accurate submission of all necessary supporting documents, including references, in a timely manner aligned with the application deadline. Failure to do so may hinder the assessment of your application. Your diligence in meeting these requirements is crucial for a comprehensive evaluation of your candidacy. Upon ensuring the correct submission of your application, including all requisite supporting documents, you can anticipate receiving a decision via email approximately two weeks following the application deadline.

When will I hear the outcome of my graduate application?

In the event that you have not received a response from the department within four weeks after the respective deadline, we encourage you to reach out directly to them using the contact details available on the course page. Your timely communication is important to us, and we are here to assist you throughout the application process.

How will my graduate application be assessed?

GCLS Graduate Admissions will assess applications that include all necessary supporting documents based on the published academic entry requirements outlined in the Programme Handbook for the Executive Master of Science in Longevity (accessible on the respective EMSc Programme page). Additionally, applications will be compared with others received for the same deadline. Following this evaluation, the department will reach out to you directly to communicate the outcome of your application.

My application was unsuccessful – can I request feedback?

Given the considerable volume of graduate applications received, GCLS regrets that feedback cannot be provided for unsuccessful applications. Additionally, applications will not be reconsidered within the same application cycle. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Why won’t the application form accept the document I am trying to upload?

Ensure that your document adheres to the appropriate file type, which should be either .pdf, .png, or .jpg, and that its size does not exceed 4MB. If you have a Word document, you can convert it to .pdf by selecting that file type in the 'save as' window. 

What are the supporting documents which need to be with my application?

How do I know if my degree is of a sufficient standard for admission to the EMSc Longevity programme?

If you do not meet the basic minimum entry requirements or are unsure of the standard of your qualifications, please contact the department directly with details of your qualifications to check whether you can submit a competitive application.

What academic guidance do I have as a student at GCLS?

As a student at GCLS, you will be allocated an Academic Advisor who will provide general advice. You are expected to be sufficiently advanced in your studies to undertake study work largely unsupervised.

I am not a Swiss or EU resident – Can I still apply for the EMSc programme?
